RE:COLLECTION
Join Kelly Williams and Myrna Tartar for an intimate conversation exploring the stories and materials behind the work in RE:COLLECTION.
In this talk, Kelly will share her journy of this body of work—from the ancient bogs of Ireland to the quiet of her Portland studio. She will discuss her use of earth, ash, and holy well water are used as "quiet medicine," and how these physical elements do as much of the storytelling as the images themselves.
Myrna will also be sharing her process and how her work comes to life from found objects and memory.
This talk offers a behind-the-scenes look at the intersection of memory, material, and the healing power of the creative process, and there will be time for a Q&A following the presentation.
