GO BIG! - Working Large - Encaustic 3-day Intensive (Intermediate and Advanced)
July 19-21, 2024 | Friday-Sunday 11am-5pm | $450 + Materials Fee
This advanced workshop is designed for those already comfortable working with encaustic paint who want to elevate their skill level and expand in scale. We will be covering the many issues inherent to scaling up and tackle the complications of working large. This workshop will dive deep and will walk you through the multitude of challenges with scaling up to ‘large’ works.
Encaustic painting has beautifully unique properties that sing in a larger formats. There are particular issues specific to encaustic that require consideration and planning to achieve the full impact with less frustration, cost and pain. I have solved and refined many of my approaches after years of painting in a full range of sizes, subjects and scale (including a 7ft x 7ft piece!)

Materials list will be emailed. Bring your own medium and panels between 20'‘— 30” — I will be emailing more details after registration.
Some materials supplied including R&F Paints and Pigment Sticks to sample.
Cancellation, Missed Classes and Liability Policies
In-studio workshops require a minimum of 3 registered students.
Cancellation at least 30 days before the class date will receive a full refund minus any processing fees or a full credit for another workshop or art purchase.
If you cancel within 14 days of workshop you will receive a refund or credit, minus a $50 cancellation fee, will be applied ONLY if the space is filled by another paying student.
WEEKLY Multi-day SESSIONS: Things happen, so occasionally a class is missed. If I cancel the class I will offer another section by finding an agreeable date/time for everyone.
If YOU miss a class I try to offer options for you to attend another simultaneously running weekly section or makeup hours that I offer based on studio scheduling. Not always available, but I will do my best.
However… Basically No show = no refund.
By registering and/or attending this class in any form (online, email, pay service, cash payment, credit or trade) you agree to assume all responsibility for non-refundable expenses including but not limited to travel and lodging. Travel insurance is encouraged.
If the workshop is canceled by the instructor, you will receive a full refund or credit.
Should any injuries occur during or as a result of participation in any workshop or event, the registered student agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Kelly Williams.
